Timing - 3/4
This story has been brought to the public on February 7, 2010 when Williams began to be interviewed about the crimes. The story was updated Monday, October 18.
Significance - 3/4
This story stated that Russell Williams was involved in two counts of first degree murder, two counts each of sexual assault and 82 break-ins and attempted break-ins. Therefore, affecting 86 people (majority being females) of all age groups.
Proximity -3/4
Because this happened in Ontario and the man was from Ottawa, it makes Canadians much more cautious. I wouldn't show the interest I do now if the story happened out of the country. I don't worry about these kind of situations though because I live in such a tiny community.
Prominence - 2/4
This man was not famous, but becomes well known by the public.
Human interest - 4/4
This story appeals to every person, especially females in the world. A person reading this story would be shocked and disgusted by the mans actions.

Timing - 2/4
This story was last updated Friday, October 22. This story informs the readers of the decrease in tigers throughout the years.
Significance - 1/4
This article doesn't have much of a significance on people because it is dealing with animals. This article would mainly grab the attention of animal lovers.
Proximity - 2/4
Tigers do not exist in the wild in Canada so because of this it would not affect many Canadians, although it may make Canadians more cautious of how they treat animals.
Prominence - 2/4
Not many Canadian can relate to the story as we do not hunt tigers as others may do in their country.
Human Interest - 1/4
I felt the story too short to have any interest in it at all and because many of us cannot relate to the article, many would not have any interest to read it.

Timing - 4/4
This story has been updated on Friday, October 28, 2010 after Donna Weins revealed that recent monitoring of hand washing routines in the Saskatoon Health Region found that many primary-care workers, including doctors and nurses, were lax on basic hygiene.
Significance - 4/4
Lack of hand washing in a large health region would affect many of Saskatchewan's population considering those who are unhealthy would depend on the nurses and doctors to cure them. Dirty hands may add to the patients sickness.
Proximity - 4/4
Although Saskatoon is not near to us, it is still a part of our country. I think people who read this would constantly worry about our local doctors and nurses because no one is one hundred percent positive of when the last time they washed their hands and where exactly their hands have been before they dealt with you.
Prominence - 1/4
This story was only based on local people in the community.
Human Interest - 4/4
This story would grab the attention of many because we tend to turn on them when feeling unhealthy or when we are hurt. Knowing that people as important as them do not keep up with the basic hand washing would make a person hesitant as to whether going to them when sick would be a better or idea or worse.

Alcohol ranked most harmful drug
Significance - 4/4
Alcohol and drugs affects many people in the world. Some depend on alcohol and/or drugs daily, while others may only take part in it on weekends or on occasions. Therefore, this story would be significant to anybody who has ever taken part of been a part of alcohol and/or drugs.
Proximity - 4/4
As stated in the significance, alcohol and drugs is part of mostly everyone's lives at some point or another. No matter the country, province, or city, alcohol is a use in each and every one of them.
Prominence - 3/4
Although the story did not state a certain celebrity, we are all aware that many of them use both alcohol and drugs. In my opinion, I would think celebrities use drugs and alcohol more than the average person because of their busy schedules and their down time when they finally have it. Many celebrities have been affected by alcohol and drugs and when they are, the news is sure to keep us updated.
Human Interest - 4/4
I think that anybody who reads this story would be shocked of the outcome. Because drugs are illegal, it causes most people to think that it is more harmful, therefore alcohol being and okay thing to do. Using reasoning though, alcohol is said to be the most harmful. Although drugs still isn't a good idea, neither is alcohol. When drinking alcohol people tend to do dumb things such as drinking and driving, also people feel like they are invincible when drinking and will say or do anything that is on their mind.
